Dear client service group of italki,
I’m Rachel. It’s been a really comfortable experience with the usage of italki. I use it for finding IELTS lessons. Thanks to you, I found my excellent teachers, Simon and Patrick. Hope they’ll help me to get my ideal band scores.
However, I think there should be more developments in your platform because I met some problems during the using time. Here are below.
1. Please teach my teacher how to use this app for applying new discounts. For example, my teacher Simon is new and he wanted to give me more discounts but he didn’t know how to achieve this, then he failed. But I’ve seen another portfolio of a teacher opened a new title, ‘discounts for old students’, of his schedule but I forgot the name of teacher. So I have no idea whether you have a handbook for new teachers and teach them to do so.
2. The transition among diverse platforms doesn’t work and the network connection on italki is poor, please tell me the potentials to the problem. To be specific, I had one lesson with Simon on Zoom, but once we joined the conference we could not hear each other. But when we came back to italki, we succeeded. Maybe that’s the problem of Zoom, our microphones or electrical connection. But I want to know if there any possibility to the transition of teaching platforms.
3. I want to know if I could book my teacher’s time for free on italki. Because of the problem I mentioned on the first point, Simon decided to give me more 25mins for each one-hour-lesson, but I could only book his one-hour-lesson on italki. And we agree that I’ll put the extra time together, which is 125mins, and I’ll book his time. Please give me some advices and tell me how to do.
4. I think my teacher Simon is a professional teacher, please give him more IELTS students and popularities if possible. I’ll be happier to use your application.
In conclusion, although there are several difficulties when I use italki. There is no denying that it’s the best language learning application I’ve used. So I’m looking forward to your developments and feedback. I’ll recommend my friends come to here to study if I accept your response with satisfaction.

Bland boring platform with bad copy writing and poor customer service

I love my sessions with Franco Del Gesso. My experience with italki would be 5 stars if it weren't for all the email notifications and reminders filling up my inbox.

Fee is expensive than other service app. so if can save the service fee, could you tell me how can i save.

Easy to schedule, good teachers.

Good working system

Recently started language tutoring with italki. My Irish instructor, Noah Higgs, is outstanding. Above and beyond. I love our lessons <3

My only problem is that the italki site itself is a bit hard to navigate. Not very intuitive at present. I find it difficult to simply book a lesson sometimes, although I always stick with it and figure it out. I have the same issue with the italki online classroom platform. I feel like it should be much easier to navigate.

As it is: my instructor definitely gets 5 stars, if not the site... just yet. I am not finding it problematic enough to let go of my great teacher. I am willing to stick with italki while they grease the gears.

Italki is flexible, convenient, tailored and excellent value for money. Italki lessons are cheaper, more convenient and more accessible than in-person individual tutoring in my area. It is an excellent service that I would recommend above all else if you are considering paying money for language learning.
